“Rural experience” not to be missed, where we privilege an intimate contact between nature, culture and local daily life. Starting with our bulls, one of the biggest popular traditions of this island, we go up to the field to see how they are treated and to know a little about the history of our famous rope bullfights. We value this experience with a visit in a tractor by the pastures where you can help and assist feeding the bulls.
Next, we will feed the sheep and the chickens, finishing the visit in the field milking a cow. Complementing this visit, we will end up at the Rattles Museum. This is an art that became the Intangible Heritage of Humanity an art almost extinguished, this place in Terceira Island is the only place in the Azores where you can still see how to do it. The rattle is the object placed at the neck of the animals allowing the farmer to easily detect its location.
